My Political Thoughts | Opinion by Kevin
Let me ask you something. You ever get to the register, see the total, and start putting shit back? You came in for groceries. Now you’re standing there deciding if you really need eggs this week.
Then you turn on the news and hear Washington talk about billions in military aid like they’re covering somebody’s lunch. Hold up. How much are we paying, what the hell are we getting for it, and who in Congress is willing to tell us when enough is enough?
I think America should stop funding Israel’s military and stop backing the Israeli government on autopilot. Keep talking. Keep pushing for peace. Keep getting food and medicine to civilians. As for another long-term military deal? Hell no.
First off, how much money are we talking?
In 2016, the U.S. pledged $38 billion in military assistance over fiscal years 2019 through 2028, subject to Congress approving the money. The deal calls for $3.3 billion a year in military financing and $500 million a year for joint missile defense. Congress has approved extra money on top of that. Congressional Research Service
So the next time your representative is at a town hall, ask them what would make them vote no on another deal. Watch how fast a yes-or-no question turns into a five-minute speech about friendship.
“But Kevin, what about the alliance?”
I hear you. The U.S. and Israel work together on missile defense and counter terrorism. They share technology, and some of the defense work happens at American companies. Those are real benefits. Congressional Research Service · U.S. State Department
Now show me the damn math. If a specific project makes Americans safer, bring that project to Congress and vote on it by itself. How did “we work together on missile defense” turn into “you gotta back us on the rest of this shit too”?
And what the hell are we supposed to say about Gaza?
The Hams-led attacks on October 7, 2023 killed about 1,200 people in southern Israel, according to Reuters. During the war that followed, most people in Gaza were driven from their homes. In November 2026, Reuters reported that heavy rain flooded tents where displaced families were living, while shortages made it harder to help them. Reuters
Think about that for a second. Your family already lost its home. Now the rain is coming in where your kids sleep, and you gotta figure out where the hell to go next.
Israeli families deserve to be safe. Palestinian families deserve to be safe. And if our government is helping supply weapons, Americans get to ask how those weapons are being used. Washington can say “we urge restraint” at a podium all day. What happens when they keep sending weapons after the cameras go off? What’s the consequence?
Bring that same energy home
The midterm elections are over, and I got a question for the current leadership in Congress. Where’s all that urgency when the school roof is leaking? Y’all can move fast on a weapons package. Let me see you move that damn fast on a clinic people in my neighborhood can actually afford to walk into.
Ending the aid gives Congress a choice about where to spend those dollars. Lawmakers would still have to vote to put that money into housing, clinics, or schools. Cool. Put that shit up for a vote. I want to see who shows up when the bill is for us.

Here’s what I want Congress to do
- Cut the military grants and vote down a new deal. Tell us how you voted and why.
- Show us what weapons we’re sending and where they go. When there are reports of civilian harm tied to American weapons, investigate and tell the public what you found.
- Keep the pressure on for humanitarian access. Use diplomacy and help get food, shelter, and medicine to people who need it.
We keep getting told this is a tough conversation. Fine. Have the damn conversation in public. Put the costs on the table, put your name on the vote, and tell the people who sent you to Washington why you think we should keep paying.
Watch My Political Thoughts on YouTube. I’m getting into why America keeps backing Israel and where I think we should draw the line. If you think the deal is worth it, pull up in the comments and tell me what we’re getting for the money. Watch on KevCulture

The White House Got Its Viral Clip. Did Anybody Get an Answer?
My Political Thoughts | Opinion by Kev Imagine a reporter asks whether a school lunch program is getting cut.
